THIS WEEKEND!!!!!

We are excited to start on some new pieces for Spring 2012. Look for brown paper bag dance co. at “Dance On The Edge” part of San Diego’s Art Walk in Little Italy, Sunday,  April 29th at 3:45P.M.(Go to: http://thepgkproject.org/dance-on-the-edge-at-artwalk-in-little-italy/ for Full Schedule of Performances) and “IGNITE 2012: A Choreographer’s Showcase” at The Vine in Rancho Bernardo, May 11-13th.

Artistic Director Justin L. Viernes will also be setting a new work on the dancers from Southern California Ballet to debut at “Dance On The Edge”, a part of San Diego’s Art Walk in Little Italy, Saturday April 28th at 2pm and at 5:30pm. The students of Dance and Company will show a new piece by Justin L. Viernes in their 3rd annual showcase at The Museum of Contemporary Art, La Jolla, June 25th at 3pm and 5pm. **We are sad to announce that Brown Paper Bag will not be appearing in Dance Theater this year at the Diversionary Theater due to lack of funding through Diversionary. We are looking forward to continue working on the script provided, “The Pride”, and will debut sometime this year!

bpbdc aims to facilitate the creation of dancing that speaks to, and encompasses, the community from which it stems, bringing together disparate dance artists to collaborate and re-shape the dance practices for an evolving audience.
